Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most well-known. Sedgwick earned the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. After the seventh season, Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010. The series ended August 13 on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her regular role in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) who was an educator and family therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian, of English descent. Sedgwick identifies herself as Jewish and has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
